Living as LiGHTS!

Image
LightWord: “In the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world.” Philippians 2:15 We use lights for display. A Christian should so shine in his life that a person could not live with him a week without knowing the Gospel . His conversation should be such that all who spend time with him would understand clearly to whom he belongs. And who it is he serves and would see the image of Jesus displayed in his daily actions. Lights are intended for guidance. We are to help those around us who are in the dark. We are to declare to them the Word of life. Say this to yourself: Father thank You for making me the light of the world. Help me that my light will so shine before men for Your glory in Jesus' name. Amen!

Submit to His Plan!

Image
LightWord: “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9 God has more than a thousand promises for us in His Word and it is not our business to know how it will come to pass. All for us to submit to His plan and believe it . His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways are higher than ours. He said to Zacharias what He can do and what He will do for him and his wife Elisabeth, but Zacharias humanistic cerebrum can't comprehend it, then He became deaf and dump till God's promises was fulfilled (see Luke 1:5-24) . Will you also submit today to His plan and let Him take over? Say this to yourself: Father, I know that I have plans, but Your plans for my life are higher, greater and better; henceforth, I'm submitting all to Your own plan, Have Your way in my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 24

Image
LightWord: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV To possess an overcomer's mentality then you must always have it in mind to despise the situation, know that God is faithful. Likewise, you must understand that you have what it takes to overcome and it's not above you. As far as God is concerned, you can handle that challenge. God's faithfulness ensures that what you are not capable of handling won't come your way. God is telling you, you can deal with it. So stop crying. You are in command. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because of Your Word I know there is a way out of my situation. I know I'm in control. Never to be defeated in life, by faith I am more than a conqueror in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 23

Image
LightWord: “...but God is faithful...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Remember, living victoriously is hundred percent guaranteed when you despise the situations that may come your way. Also, knowing fully well that God is faithful. Scripture says, but God is faithful. It is God's faithfulness that causes Him to take over the battles of life from you. Once you know God is an ever faithful God, then you will be sure He won't let you down. Say this to yourself: Father thank You for I know You are so faithful and You can't fail me over this situation of mine in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 22

Image
LightWord: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:16 In life, there is a constant battle over your life; there is a constant battle over my life. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. But God has designed a life of victory for His own children. A life of consistent victory begins with you despising your challenges, not making mountains out of molehills . No matter the situation declare with faith I am more than a conqueror. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for I know I am victorious. No mountain is too high for me to climb for I know God has my back in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 21

Image
LightWord: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:16 Life is warfare and not a funfair. Those who mistake it for a funfair, end up in most cases as prisoners of war; alive but not living or at worst as casualty. Everyone walking on earth is warring, it doesn't matter whether you are conscious of it or not. Those who don't know the secret place (God) to hide to, ends their lives as prey to the the devil. ( Psalm 91 ) Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus because I have God, I have a secret place to run to, I am forever protected from the evils of this world in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 20

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Living a life of victory is cheap when you have the understanding of this fourth key; no matter what comes your way, there is a way out in God and that's through Jesus Christ. He already overcame the world ( John 16:33 ) and whosoever that trusted in Him will never be defeated just as He said (John 8:12), but be eternally saved, delivered and then live victoriously for ever ( 1 John 5:4-5. ) Say this to yourself: Thank You Father, I believe in Your Son Jesus Christ I know I am saved, delivered, secured, protected, preserved and victorious in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 19

Image
LightWord: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV The third key to living all your days triumphantly regardless of who you are, where you are and what ever comes your way, is that, you have what it takes. God says because I am faithful, I will never allow what is beyond your ability comes your way ( Psalm 125:3 ) If you will live by faith (trust God,) you will realize you have all it takes and the power to overcome any challenges. Say this to yourself: Thank You faithful Father, I know my life is ever secured in You. Come what may, I am TRIUMPHANT because You are too faithful to fail me in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 18

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Living an overcomer's life will first take you to see your challenges as common, nothing special in it. Second key is to be rest assured that God is a faithful God, ever faithful . He's always in love with you and has your best interest at heart. He will never watch His own children (you) being tormented or defeated. So there is an assurance God has your back. Never to be defeated. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because I know You are a faithful God and with You on my side I am more than a conqueror in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 17

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 In conclusion of this faith-filled series, I will like to share with you some few steps to living an overcomer's life. The first key to respond to your challenges is to see it as common. God said in His Word you don't have a special case/issue, in other words, it is common. But until you sees it that way, you will keep battling with your challenges and never to overcome. Because you can't defeat what you don't despise. Say this to yourself: Thank You Lord for I know I don't have a special case, today I despise all my challenges and I overcome them victoriously in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 16

Image
LightWord: “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 Hello! Did you know that what you have been receiving in this series are Winning Keys of Life? And if you lay hold on these keys, it will launch you into a lifetime of TRIUMPH. Get this; either you are conscious of it or not, life is warfare and not a funfair . In other words, please make sure you meditate on this devotional about Faith, Circumstances, and Obstacles. Pray alongside. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for the revelation of who I am in Christ Jesus. I know I am LiGHT and darkness has no power over me by any means in any way in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 15

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 When challenges comes your way, and you react to it, you put yourself in a panic state and the challenge becomes tougher but when you respond to it, then you will look for the necessary solution to it just as Jesus did. God knows what is best for you and have your best interest at heart. For the temptations that you have are the same temptations that all people have. But you can trust God. He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father, for You have my best interest at heart, You will help me with the necessary solution I need for the way out in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 14

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 You have to understand that there is a purpose behind every challenge. But many a time, obstacles don't automatically produce what God intends in many people's lives, because they don't intend to know why and how to get out of it. Some get bitter rather than better, and never grow up. Two things you can either do to your challenges: is either you respond to it or react to it . But the best way is to respond to it. Say this to yourself: I have the ability by the Spirit of God not to react but respond to whatever challenges that may ever comes my way in life in Jesus name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 13

Image
LightWord: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 God doesn't make mistakes . For Him to tell us that in Him we will have peace does not make God a liar. Truly there are tribulations and a lot of challenges in this world. That is why we need faith the most. And this is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Because who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes (trust and have faith) that Jesus is the son of God. 1 John 5:4-5 Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus because I have faith in You therefore I am an overcomer. I live above all my circumstances in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 12

Image
LightWord: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 Faith comes by hearing and hearing; and that's why you must not belittle the authority of this Word of Faith coming to you. Not just by reading the letters but by hearing the voice of God behind the letters. One thing is, if you can be attentive enough to hear His voice then it's God's integrity to perform it . The comfort of His voice says you are more than a conqueror. Can you hear the voice? Say this to yourself: Father thank You for Your voice behind Your Word. I pray that You open my inner ears to hear You more clearly every day in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 11

Image
LightWord: “Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and it will be done.” Mathew 21:21 Get the solution, not situation. Situations do change, but solution will make the situation change for your good if you have it and that is faith.  The truth is, you don't have to be bigger, stronger or tougher to overcome your obstacles. When you live by faith, you have the most powerful force in the universe on your side. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, because I believe in You, whatever obstacles on my way I declare them vanished now in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 10

Image
LightWord: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 To be born poor or for the fact that you're facing that challenges might not be your fault, but to quit or die poor will definitely be your fault. Because you already have what it takes. God has already given you the victory to overcome the world and that is through your FAITH! Make use of it and I promise you, very shortly everything is going to be alright in the name of Jesus. Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus for the battle You've already won and the victory given to me. I will walk in the reality of this victory, living a victorious life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 9

Image
LightWord: “‘What are you, O great mountain [of obstacles]? Before Zerubbabel [who will rebuild the temple] you will become a plain (insignificant)!...” Zechariah 4:7 AMP Everyone in the body of Christ has been ordained to rule which was the first blessing of God to mankind (see Genesis 1:28 ) but never forget that "every man is the architect of his own fortune". That means life is a choice. Someone once said "don't tell your God how big your problem is; tell your problem how big your God is" and I think this is one of the best ways to energize your faith and despise your obstacles. Say this to yourself: Father thank You because You are bigger than the biggest mountain I can ever face and for this I am confidence I am victorious in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 8

Image
LightWord: “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.” Philippians 4:6‭ MSG It's one choice to have faith or accept fate. So, you can go all around worrying or you can relax and believe God is in charge. America today is known as one of the richest countries in the world; Yet the rate of suicide per day increases so high. And you may wonder but WHY? It's simply because 80% of them(Americans) have chosen to live richly. In fact, there is no nation in the world that is poor, only those that choose to be poor. Say this to yourself: Father thank You because by the revelation of Your Word, I choose to have faith over every obstacles I may ever faced in life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Faith and Obstacles! Part 7

Image
LightWord: “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic...” Deuteronomy 31:6 NLT Note, if the atmosphere is fair, there is no need for courage/faith. But so far the atmosphere is not fair, and just like I said earlier in this series, God didn't even promise us war-free in Zion (read John 16:33 ). Then, you have to be of good courage and have faith in God who can turn the atmosphere in your favor. Never forget this that to have faith in God or to be courageous is by choice. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father, because today by the grace of God I receive divine strength to stay strong in the Lord, come what may in Jesus' name. Amen!
