HOW TO HANDLE OBSTACLES! Part 4

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 When you react to your challenges, you put yourself in a panic state and the challenges become tougher for you, but when you respond to it, you will provide the necessary solution to it the same way Jesus did. God knows what is best for you and have your best interest at heart. Be bold to always say, this is not an obstacle but a miracle in disguise. In all you are going through, always have it in mind, it's all for your good.  Say this to yourself: God has my best interest at heart, He will help me to provide the necessary solution I needed to provide in Jesus' name. Amen!

HOW TO HANDLE OBSTACLES! Part 3

Image
LightWord: “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; ” 2 Corinthians 4:17 It is wisdom to respond rather than to react to obstacles. For instance, challenges faced by a manager is quite different from the one of a secretary; a manager is paid a higher amount of money to manage higher challenges. The levels of the challenges you are facing are directly proportional to the weight of your glory, and in order not to miss it, you have to respond to it accordingly. Telling God about yourself that you are ready for the next phase of life. Say this yourself: Father, I need your grace to response by wisdom to every obstacles on my way to the next levels in Jesus' name. Amen!

HOW TO HANDLE OBSTACLES! Part 2

Image
LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 Two things by which one can either do when faced with challenges. You either Respond to it or React to it. But the best way is to respond to it. A man once said and I quote, life is 10% what happens to you, 90% how you react to it. But it is wisdom to respond rather than to react to obstacles, simply because your reactions judges your actions (good or bad), but your response shows your responsibility.  Say this to yourself: Father, I declare that I have the ability by the Spirit of God not to react but respond to whatever challenges I may face in life in Jesus name. Amen!

LightWord: “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 The first thing you have to know when you face obstacles in life is that, there is a purpose for it. You must understand that there is a purpose behind every challenge that comes your way . Many a time, obstacles don't really produce what God intends in many people's life. Some get bitter rather than better, and never grow up. In this series I will be unveiling to you two things you can either do when you face challenges. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because whatever might come my way, I am already an overcomer in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 10

Image
LightWord: “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Matthew 6:13 Finally in your prayers the Lord Jesus said you should Rejoice and reflect. “For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” Celebrate what God has done in your life, and look for ways to worship Him throughout your day. Knowing fully well that He is the God that has all what it takes to answer every prayer. Then, spend a few minutes reflecting on this time with God. What has He shown you? As prayer is not made to be a monologue but a dialogue with your Creator (God). Say this to yourself: Father, I am so confident of this very thing that You answer prayers and You have done mine and will continue to answer my prayers to the glory of Your name in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 9

Image
LightWord: “… deliver us from evil…” Matthew 6:13 As you pray, don't forget we are still in a wicked world, so remember to Request God’s protection. “… deliver us from evil…” We’ve all been rescued from something. What has God rescued you from? Thank Him for His faithfulness, and let Him know where you need help. Consider praying on behalf of other people who may also need protection. Remember that even when situations seem hopeless, there is nothing God cannot do. Say this to yourself: Father, in this situation of mine, let Your hand be upon me and arise for my rescue completely in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 8

Image
LightWord: “And forgive us … as we forgive…” Matthew 6:12 Jesus said while praying we should Repent and respond. “And forgive us … as we forgive...” What are you holding onto that you need to lay down? Is there anything you need to confess right now? Maybe it’s a hurt you can’t let go of. A behavior you’re struggling to change, an addiction you haven’t conquered, or a mistake you keep making. God invites you to come as you are, and respond to Him. Tell him whatever is on your mind, then create space to hear from Him. Say this to yourself: Father, I confess that I'm a sinner and ready to change my ways, forgive me Oh Lord of all my sins, help me and make me whole in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 7

Image
LightWord: “Give us today the food we need …” Matthew 6:11 The third thing to do in applying Jesus' prayer to our daily lives is to Release your concerns. “Give us today the food we need…” Imagine holding your hands out in front of you, as if you want God to put something in them. As you give God your concerns, what does He give you in return? List your concerns, and say them one at a time. Each time you voice a concern, try asking God to, “give us this day our daily bread.” Sit with this exercise for as long as you need. Say this to yourself: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, in Your capacity there are no limitations, therefore, give me today (...name it...) , and I shall testify of Your wonders in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 6

Image
LightWord: “Your kingdom come …” Matthew 6:10 After refocusing your mind on God in His ability and capability, then, the second thing according to Jesus's prayer is to: Realign your will. “Your kingdom come …” God has always been in the process of carrying out His will on earth. So right now, reflect on this: when you align your will with God’s will, you are actively seeking His Kingdom. Quiet any noise around you, and ask God to show you how you can take part in doing His will today. Say this to yourself: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I confess that Your will is my will, help me to do Your will Lord. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 5

Image
LightWord: “Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name …” Matthew 6:9 Here’s a six (6) step guide to prayer that can help: first, Refocus on God. “Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name …” Inhale deeply and focus on these words: “Our Father in heaven.” Slowly exhale as you say: “Holy is Your name.” Repeat this several times, by so doing, you are in awe, worshiping, and adoring God, then, pay attention to any aspects of God’s character that come to mind. Spend this time focusing on how great God is. Say this to yourself: My Father and my God, I worship Your holy name, how great You are in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 4

Image
LightWord: “when you pray, pray to your Father in private…” Matthew 6:6 If God already knows what we need, then prayer isn’t simply about the words we say. If we’re praying to impress people, or if we’re treating prayer like a box to check, then we’re missing out on the power of prayer. Prayer is, and always will be, a dynamic conversation with our Father (God).  When we realize this, the Lord’s Prayer becomes a freeing framework that helps us talk to God every day. Say this to yourself: My Father in heaven, I bless You for helping me realize through Your Son Jesus Christ, how close I can be to You through prayer in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 3

Image
LightWord: “...Lord, teach us to pray.” Luke 11:1 Jesus' prayer to the disciples according to Matthew 6:9-13 is now a famous example on how to pray. But how do we apply it to our everyday lives especially in this 21st-century? First, we need to understand how not to pray. Before teaching the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus told His disciples, “when you pray, pray to your Father in private…” and, “do not heap up empty phrases…for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.” Say this to yourself: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I ask that You always help me to have personal and secret encounters with You in prayer in Jesus' name. Amen!

How to Pray! Part 2

Image
LightWord: “...Lord, teach us to pray.” Luke 11:1 Someone once said, to know how to pray, just pray; but no. According to our focal Scripture of today, we understand that, to know how to pray, we must learn how to pray. “Pray then like this…” 2,000 years ago, Jesus taught His disciples to pray like this: Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May Your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one, For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen! MATTHEW 6:9-13 Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus, Amen!

How to Pray!

Image
LightWord: “And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1 Prayer is the master key as it has been said. But how do you utilize this master key without knowing how to activate it? “Prayer.” When you see that word, what thoughts or images come to mind? Does talking to God come easy to you? Or do you struggle to pray? Knowing what to say to God doesn’t always feel easy, and sometimes, prayer gets weighed down by our misconceptions about what a conversation with God should look like. Say this to yourself: Holy Spirit, I submit to Your teaching, give me pure understanding so as to have an active and powerful prayer life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Give Thanks! Part 2

Image
LightWord: “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;” Ephesians 5:20 Really, giving thanks to God all day in all things might not make sense to you but it doesn't have to. Just do the will of God. Do not worry about anything; but in all things just give thanks, another version says always giving thanks for what you have. As a matter of fact, Scripture says in the book of Hebrews 13:15 it is a sacrifice and non-stop. See, complaining, murmuring, grumbling deactivate and paralyses God's power in you, by you and through you. The best thing for you and I is to praise His Holy name for ever. Praise God forever more. (Extracted - Just Praise! New Book in progress...) Say this to yourself: I bless Your name oh Lord, I give You all the praise and glory. May Your praise never departs from my heart and my mouth all my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

Give Thanks!

Image
LightWord: “Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 AMPC There are many things in life people don't have to struggle with, worry neither stresses out themselves for as long as they are in the center of the will of God. Yet many choose to ignore the profitable over the unprofitable. No wonder Scripture says, my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. In all things, the Bible says "Give Thanks" , that is, everyday of your life no matter what comes your way, your first response should be thanksgiving to God. Say this to yourself: Father thank You for revealing once again Your love and will for my life. Today I deliver myself from every unnecessary weight, yoke and burden and choose to thank You in all things by all means in Jesus'name. Amen!

BE PART!

Image
LightWord: “‘I’m sending you off to open the eyes of the outsiders so they can see the difference between dark and light, and choose light, see the difference between Satan and God, and choose God. I’m sending you off to present my offer of sins forgiven, and a place in the family, inviting them into the company of those who begin real living by believing in me.’” Acts 26:17‭-‬18 MSG Are you being blessed by the virtue of God's Word reaching you everyday? If yes, then you are blessed to be a blessing. Gen.12:2 Today, many people wake up to check their smartphones for updates in substitutes for prayer and devotion. BE WATCHFUL! Part 20

Image
LightWord: “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” James 1:22 What will I do to always be ready for the LORD's return? First, you must wake up and another one is engaging in Light! This is the Word of God, John 1:1&4 . You must engage. Have you not heard? That an applied knowledge is better than a stored one. When you decide to listen to the Word of light, or preach the Word of light, then you become a devil suspect, but when you go beyond listening or preaching to doing the Word, you become too dangerous for the devil , even God honors you for that. Say this to yourself: Lord, I receive the grace to move beyond hearer level to a doer level in Jesus name Amen!

BE WATCHFUL! Part 19

Image
LightWord: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”  Psalm 119:105 One of the vital thing to do to be watchful is to engage the word of light. David said, Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. The Word of God is your GPS. The Word of God guides you into all truth and gives you total liberty. When you begin to study God's Word you will begin to see that which is dark to you before; everyday the Word will give you liberty, your path will keep shining and shining unto the perfect day! Hallelujah Say this to yourself: Father, I receive Your ever faithful, most reliable Word of light into my life, I believe it will destroy every molecule of sin and I receive liberty in Jesus name Amen!

BE WATCHFUL! Part 18

Image
LightWord: “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5 Jesus said, as long as I am in the world I am the light of the world. That is, the only remedy to come out of spiritual deadness and darkness is to engage the power of light. And the light shines in darkness, and darkness cannot comprehend it. Listen to this, when you engage the power of light, by default darkness ceases to exist in your life and your Christian experience. Say this to yourself: Lord, I pray for grace to constantly engage in Your light. I command Your light to shine upon me now and for ever in Jesus' name. Amen!
