THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 32

Image
LightWord: “And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45 Matthew 9 gives us an account of the healing of two blind men by Jesus. Notice that He did not ask them for the genesis of their issues. Many of us have the idea that we can somehow arouse God's sympathy by telling Him, and everyone else, the history of our suffering. I want you to notice that Jesus was interested in only one thing their faith . He asked: "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" (verse 28). If they did not believe, they would die in their blindness. In verse 29, He told the blind men: "According to your faith, be it unto you." And that was it! Say this to yourself: Father thank You because I believe and You will always help my unbelief in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 31

LightWord: “But let him ask in faith, not wavering.” James 1:6 After you have identified what you desire. Also, you've found the appropriate promise that covers that desires from the Word of God. Now, you are ready to ask. Here is the next thing you should know: ask in faith. Why so? Because God deals with us on the basis of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God. (Heb.11:6) When Jesus was physically on earth, He succeeded in healing and delivering people only if they believed that He could do it. If they did not believe, then they did not get anything. Say this to yourself: Father thank You because I believe I receive that which I desire of You according to Your will in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 30

LightWord: “And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.” John 16:23 Whatever we desire can be ours if we ask in the name of Jesus. And He has given us the assurance that whatever we ask in His name we can have. It is a power of attorney — a power to act in another person's name. When we pray this way, it is as if Jesus Himself is doing the praying. Additionally, Jesus is the mediator between man and God ( 1 Timothy 2:5 ). He is the sole authorized attorney for all believers. No other attorney is permitted in the court of heaven. Say this to yourself: Father in the name of Jesus, I ask for (make mention of it) and I receive it by faith in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 29

Image
LightWord: “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” Philippians 2:10 Jesus' name is above every name. Here is the secret, no name will do for a substitute. Believers are not accepted on the basis of their own names or any other. We cannot come in our own recognition. We do not have a standing with God separate and apart from the standing we have in Jesus. Scripture above says, "everything in heaven, on earth, and in hell." All things we would ordinarily ask for in prayer are included here . Say this to yourself: Father in the name of Jesus, by the power in Your name let everything answers to my command in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 28

Image
LightWord: “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3 All things were made by Him, as we are told from the Scripture above. He has the monopoly of the heavenly bank . Note that it is not for the sake of Jesus you ask. You ask for your own sake, but in Jesus' name. There is an added reason why the Father would act in the name of Jesus. The Father has decreed that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow. ( Philippians 2:10 ). Notice that verse 9 says "His name is above every name."  Say this to yourself: Father in the name of Jesus I pray and receive all that I desire according to Your will in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 27

Image
LightWord: “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” Philippians 2:9 One of the major things among others that project power into our prayers is praying in the name of Jesus. All prayer must be made in the name of Jesus . This is like a signature that gets the whole of heaven attends to your prayer. Praying in the name of Jesus does not only gets heaven's attention to your prayers but even the earth and the hell gives way. Jesus owns the account you intend to draw from. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for the great opportunity to pray in the name of Your Son Jesus that it might effect power to my prayers, be glorified in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 26

Image
LightWord: “...your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.” Matthew 6:6 NKJV Anyone who knows how to ask God give me, should also know how to say Thy kingdom come! Praying in this manner, Scripture says you don't have to worry about anything else, for it shall be an additional. Matthew 6:33 God answers personal prayer but He rewards Kingdom advancement prayers. Praying for His will to be done. Praying for the growth, improvement, advancement, and enlargement of His Church and His Kingdom are kinds of prayers that moves God's heart. Say this to yourself: Father, let Your Spirit always lead, guide and triggers me to prioritize my prayers on Your kingdom first in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 25

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say..., Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.” Luke 11:2 Praying prayers that gets heaven's attention as to do with prayers that prioritize Kingdom advancement prayers. If you want your prayers to be more effective, you must know how to pray Thy kingdom come . Praying for your personal need is good, but praying for His Kingdom and His will to be done here on earth is better. When you pray for more of God, His love, and for souls to be saved, now you are praying the most correct prayers. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for showing me the way more clearer to pray unto You and for the help of the Holy Spirit from this time forth in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 24

Image
LightWord: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11 God's Word is God's will. God's will is good. He has no desire to put us under any plague. And we must trust in His Word, which covers both our spiritual and physical welfare. His will is that you lack no good thing. He does not intend to withhold any good thing from you (Psalm 84:11, James 1:17, John 10:10) . Having determined what you want, dig into the Word (The Bible) and find the promise that covers your particular need . You cannot miss it when you pray this way. 1 John 5:14   Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because by the help of the Holy Spirit I will begin/continue to pray according to Your will as I receive heaven's attention to my prayers in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 23

Image
LightWord: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” 1 John 5:14 We all know what a will means, a will is the written documents by a person as to tell how he wants his possessions or properties to be distributed after he dies. And this is so powerful that not even the person's spouse could change it. Same thing about God to we, His children, He stays up there in heaven and we lives here on earth, therefore, His will for us has been written to us here on earth on how He desired us to live. God's will for us is in His Word . Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because Your will for me is to prosper and therefore, I declare I am prosperous in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 22

Image
LightWord: “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:” 1 John 5:14 What makes prayer powerful is as a result of praying the right prayers. Prayer will be powerless, no matter how loud we shout, and the gymnastic we put in it, if it's not in the right ways. Matthew 17:19-21 Another way to pray right is by praying according to the will of God. It triggers our confidence in God. Praying according to the will of God gives us assurance that we already have what we might be asking or praying for . Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because as I continue to make my request according to Your will, You keep listening to me in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 21

Image
LightWord: “And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Mark 10:51 You must also understand that heaven does not answer chorus prayers . There are too many calling on God, heaven only get attention to your own prayer if it is specific. When you cry God have mercy on me, He will ask on what. God want you to be specific so as not to have difficulty returning the glory to Him once the answer arrives. Say this to yourself: Father, I thank You because You've been the source of my answers and I know also, concerning this my prayer now You will answer me and I will glory to You in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 20

Image
LightWord: “And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Mark 10:51 One of the major reason Jesus asked the blind man in our focal Scripture of today what He would want Him to do for him is to be sure of how specific the man is of what he truly want. Also, Jesus want to be sure the blind man is not doubting. Because Scripture says in James 1:6-7 that anyone not specific enough in prayer will receive nothing from God. Say this to yourself: Father thank You because of this my heart desire ( name it to God ) is already done to the glory of Your name in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 19

Image
LightWord: “And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee?” Mark 10:51 Another way to pray right is to be specific in your prayers . Jesus taught us a great lesson of prayer that gets heaven's attention from the Scripture above, everybody would know except a blind man that the man was blind. And what would a blind man need but for the restoration of his sight, yet He that knows all things still asked him, what do you want Me to do for you? Anytime you pray, Jesus is still asking the same thing from you. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because this one thing I ask from You this day (tell it to God) and I know my testimony is certain in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 18

Image
LightWord: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 You don't go to God angrily in prayer, otherwise, you might return bitterly . Learn how to praise God even in prayer. Learn how to have some romance with God in prayer through praise. The king's daughter romances his father in Mark 6:21-23 That fetch her license to ask for anything to the half of his father's kingdom. Jesus did the same in John 11 . Learn and know how to praise God ahead of your prayers, while praying, and even after praying. Say this to yourself : Thank You Father for the garment of praise upon my life to praise You endlessly and in all things in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 17

Image
LightWord: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4 In the prayer of Daniel, recorded in Daniel 9, Nehemiah's introductory praise is repeated almost word for word (verse 4). The result was a quick unprecedented revelation of things that are yet to happen. In Acts, chapter four, the prayer of the disciples that received instantaneous answer. Once more, praise was the key that unlocked the heavenly gates . In verse 24, they praised God. The answer came immediately, accompanied by a shaking of the place where they were gathered together. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the power of prayer even through praise, I will praise You from everlasting to everlasting in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 16

Image
LightWord: “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” Psalm 100:4 There are heavenly gates, and it takes praise to unlock them . Scripture gave records of those who certainly knew this secret. They used it with great effect. Nehemiah for instance prayed: “O Lord of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love Him and observe His commandments.” Neh. 1:5. The effect of his prayer was that God used him(a slave) to bring about the restoration of Jerusalem and the temple. Say this to yourself: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for putting on me the garment of praise even in prayer resulting to miraculous answers to my prayers in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 15

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name...” Luke 11:2 The prayers that gets heaven's attention are prayers preceded by praises. To pray right, you must know how to let praises precedes your prayer . Jesus says, when you pray, say, our Father in heaven, blessed be Your name. Ever before we make our request to the Father, His high praises must be on our lips. There are heavenly gates, and it takes praise to unlock them. David said, “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise.” Psalm 100:4 Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because Your praise will never depart from my mouth forever in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 14

Image
LightWord: “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24 Prayer has a way of praying, that's why Jesus truly taught them and us the pattern of prayer. He said when you pray say... So that confirms the fact that you don't say anything anyhow. You say prayers as learnt from the Master. If there is a wrong way of praying, then, there must be the right ways of praying. There are prayers that gets heaven's attention, that before you are done praying, the answer is waiting. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus thank You for how You are changing my status through prayer, receiving speedy answers to all my requests in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE POWER OF PRAYER! Part 13

Image
LightWord: “...his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say...” Luke 11:1-2 As powerful as prayer can be, the behind the scene of a powerful prayer is praying right. You may ask but why do we have to pray aright? Because some prayed, but no answer because they pray amiss. It has been said that the way to learn how to pray is to pray. But that's not true, the way to pray is to learn how to pray . We must be humble enough to ask the Master to teach us how to pray. Luke 11:1-2a. Say this to yourself: Father by the help of the Holy Spirit, keep teaching me how to pray so that I won't pray amiss in Jesus' name. Amen!
