Plan for Good!

Image
LightWord: “...those who plan what is good find love and faithfulness.” Proverbs 14:22 NIV Do you wake up every morning expecting favor and blessing on everything you do? Do you plan for what is good? When we plan for what is good, Scripture tells us that we find love. Ultimately, God is love which means when you plan for what is good, you will find God in the midst of your plans. Don’t let the negative voices of the world redirect you in the wrong direction. It doesn’t matter what is happening in the economy or your present circumstances, God’s plan is always for your good. Set your mind on good things and stay in agreement with God. You and God are a majority. Stay in step with Him, plan for what is good, and move forward into the life of victory He promised you! Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the good plans You have for my life. I choose Your plan and ask that You direct my mind and thoughts according to Your purposes in Jesus’ Name. Amen!

Develop a devotional life! Part 2

Image
LightWord: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15 Develop a devotional life - have a consciously marked out schedule for studying the Bible and have a regular prayer time too. It could be ten (10) minutes every day, this time should increase as you grow. Never get tired of it. In this, you build your belief the more in God. Remember, your belief is going to take you to how you live. Work on yourself! One is never a failure until he start looking for who to blame for it. Be self-disciplined, be determined, be committed. Daily devotional guides like this LightWord would greatly help , because they help you know when you are backsliding - they help you easily know when you stop studying the Word (excuses of no time), and also helps you to understand and know more about God each day, building your faith for victory. (Dan.11:32b, Acts 17:11, Rom.10:17, 1John5:4.) Say this to yourself: Thank God...

Develop a devotional life!

Image
LightWord: “They were devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 Feed your spirit regularly with God's word. Pray regularly for this is the way you build up yourself and grow. Feed your inner-man always. By so doing, you are simply building God in you and you in God. And you open up yourself for a world of exploits. 1 John 4:4 It is what you have within that will determine how you live without. Life has its own challenges and troubles, but when you are strong in your spirit, then you will be able to stand against anything that comes your way; and victory is sure, certain and guaranteed. Say this to yourself: Lord give me the required grace to build a strong relationship with You this year not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed as I mature spiritually by the renewing of my mind in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 15

Image
LightWord: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 Our walk with God isn't perfect yet till we have faith, matured in faith and are stable in faith. No wonder, God said in His Word, that you are not pleased with Him until you have faith in Him. Faith is a universal currency. It carries the same purchasing power in every nation of the earth, because it draws on God’s omnipotence and integrity. Faith answers at the same level to all mankind; so your level of faith is what determines the level of command you exercise in the affairs of your life. Say this to yourself: Father by the power of the working faith at work in me, from now, henceforth, nothing becomes impossible, no situation becomes too hard for me again in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 14

Image
LightWord: “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12 The working faith has always been with the prove of being patience . If you cannot be patient, it shows your lack of faith in God because faith and patience works together. Abraham the father of faith proves his faith by being so patient Hebrews 6:15. That it doesn't happen immediately doesn't mean you don't have faith. Sometimes, God is not just preparing the evidence for you but also preparing you to carry the evidence. Psalm 46:10, Isaiah 28:16 Say this to yourself : Father, I thank You for I know that through my faith and patience, I will have and become everything You have ordained me to be in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 13

Image
LightWord: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for.” Hebrews 11:1 We must not dream of unbelief but hold to our faith even to seventy times seven. Faith sends expectant hope to look from Carmel's peak, and if nothing is seen, she sends again and again. A faith not anchored on hope is not the kind of faith that works . Faith and hope work together to deliver maximally. Scripture says, faith will only give substance to what you already hoped for. As vital as faith so is hope. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for I put my hope in You, and in every area of my life, all my life, Father, let me not be put to shame in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 12

Image
LightWord: “And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.” 1 Kings 18:43 Although you might have pleaded months after months without evidence of response, it is not possible that the Lord should be deaf when His people are serious about a matter that concerns His glory. The prophet on the top of Carmel continued to wrestle with God and never for a moment gave way to the fear that he would not be suited for Jehovah's courts. Six times the servant returned, but on each occasion no word was spoken but “Go again.” Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because I will never quit nor give up till You make me a praise for Your glory in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 11

Image
LightWord: “...for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.” Romans 14:23 You must serve God by faith, otherwise you’re serving Him in vain. You must give by faith or your giving is a waste. You pray by faith, otherwise your prayer is a mere religious exercise. That’s why in Romans 14:22-23 we are told that whatever is not of faith is sin. " If faith is absent in any step you are taking, that is a dead step – a step that has no future! That’s why every man’s destiny is a function of his faith." Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the faith I have You, and this I know that my faith will not fail me in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 10

Image
LightWord: “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: And suddenly the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26 One of the major expressions that you are operating in the faith that works is your praise. If you say you have faith concerning that situation and yet, you cannot praise God because or in that situation, then, you don't have a working faith. Faith must be expressed through your praise. The level of your praise determines the level of your faith . Just like Paul and Silas, even in the midst of tribulation, they had great faith in God expressed through their praise and jubilation, and suddenly their faith worked. Say this to yourself: Father, I praise You because from today, You have enclothes me with a new garment of praise, praising You always as an expression of my faith in You in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 9

Image
LightWord: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James 2:26 Just as our focal Scripture for today says, faith without works is as good as nothing. Faith must be coupled with work for it to be perfect. In other words, the faith that will work perfectly is the faith that is backed up with corresponding actions. The work of faith is to do the work of the Word of God. Every Word of God (instructions) will give you a work (actions) to do. James 1:25 . A great man of God once said and I quote, "any faith that makes God absolutely responsible for all the events of your life is an irresponsible faith". Say this to yourself: Father, as I walk in faith and by the instructions that follows, give me the grace to work it out by taking actions accordingly for my faith to work and be perfect in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 8

Image
LightWord: “They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.” Psalm 125:1 The faith that works is the faith that is rooted in trusting God. Faith has to do with trust. Faith without trust in God is fake and not faith. Trust is unconditional. Either God does it or not yet or never I still have faith in Him forever. That's the working faith. The working F.A.I.T.H says Forsaking All In Trusting Him (God) . The three teenagers have a working faith by putting their total trust in the Lord their God and that brings them honor they never even expected. They we trust God to deliver us, if not, we still put our trust in God. Daniel 6:28-30 (vs17-30) Say this to yourself: Father, I put my trust, my total trust in You no matter what, I know You are there for me and my victory is certain in life in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 7

Image
LightWord: “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak.” II Corinthians 4:13 NKJV   Only a faith-filled person can live a fulfilled life. To live a faith-filled life, then, you must know the faith that works such as knowing the value of faith, also, you must understand that confession in addition to your faith is the working faith. Faith is active by spoken words. Faith is impotent without been spoken out. Speaking or saying your faith out gives it power to deliver. Saying what you believe makes you to see what you believe. Romans 10:8, 10 . Say this to yourself : Thank You Jesus for as I speak what I believe I will begin to see what I believe in my life no matter how impossible it might be in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 6

Image
LightWord: “Have faith in God (have the faith of God, or the God kind of faith)” Mark 11:22 The kind of faith that works and that can work for you is when you know and recognize the value of faith. Faith puts you in the class of God; that's the value of faith . It converts God's power on humans. Which means that what God can do, man can also do when faith is at work. In other words, if your faith says yes, God cannot say no. That's the value of faith. You must fully understand that the faith of God in you can make everything possible for you. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the faith of God in me enabling me to do all things from now on in Christ Jesus in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 5

Image
LightWord: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 Understand that Bible faith is not theoretical, it is practical. Bible faith is not a principle, it is the way of life. Because as faith is spiritual, life is spiritual. Note that to live a fulfilled life, you must live a faith-filled life.  In other words, you must live a meaningful spiritual life. And the things of the spirit cannot be done anyhow, it has to be precepts upon precepts, lines upon lines. So if you are to live a faith-filled life in this world, then, it is therefore important to well understand how faith works and the kind of faith that works. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because from today I operate in the faith that works to produce and keep producing infallible proofs in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 4

Image
LightWord: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 If faith is spiritual, do you also know that life is spiritual as well? And as it were, it is the spiritual that controls the physical. Which means you can practicalize your faith into reality which produces results. Always remember, all the things of God including all the blessings are Spirit coded because God himself is a Spirit ; and it can only take a man of the spirit(faith) to decode all these things. John 4:24, Eph.1:3, 1Cor.2:14, Gal.3:14. Say this to yourself: Father thank You for by the power of faith at work in me, anything is possible in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 3

Image
LightWord: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1 Know for sure that not all faiths produce results. But before you know the faith that works, it's important to know what is faith? According to our focal Scripture of today, faith is spiritual. The power of faith only becomes real when it is operated in the spirit realm. It is both the gift and fruit of the Spirit. If so, then, faith is the Almighty Subject of our Christian adventure. Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus, for I walk by faith and not by sight, I operate in the spirit realm from this day onwards in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH! Part 2

Image
LightWord: “...the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 The truth is, the just shall live by faith. No wonder, Scripture says if anyone is not living by faith, it's a sin. And we all know the wages of sin is what? Death! That's why if a believer is not living by faith, such a person is dead; dead both physically and spiritually. But for us to know how we can be living by faith, we must first know the faith that works; because not all faiths are faith, some are fake, some are rake (not digging deep). And not all faith practices produce results. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for I choose to live, therefore, from today I live by nothing else but by faith in You, walking and trusting Your ways alone in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE WORKING FAITH!

Image
LightWord: “...the just shall live by his faith.” Habakkuk 2:4 Scripture says and confirms it so in many other places that in the mouths of two or three people shall every word be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1 . When it comes to the matter of faith, it's not two, not three but four different places where it confirms it. Both in the Old and the New Testaments of the Bible confirms that we (believers) are only meant to live by nothing else but by faith. Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:16, Hebrews 10:38 Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because Your Word says so, I am also living so. From today henceforth, I live by faith and by faith alone, so help me God in Jesus' name. Amen!

Know the Light!

Image
LightWord: “As long as Iam in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9: 5 Before Jesus healed the blind man, He introduced Himself as the Light of the world. That man needed to receive his sight, he needed to start seeing physical light, and he began by meeting and knowing the Light of the world. He encountered the Light before he began to see physical light. Friend, if you desire to see the physical light you need, you need to know the Light of the world . If you desire heaven's resources, you need to connect to the One who rules in the affairs of men from heaven. If you want to see God's hand, then seek His face that it might shine on you. If you seek the gift, just encounter the Giver. Say this to yourself: I know the Light; I walk in Light; God's light will consume my darkness today and forever more in Jesus' name. Amen!

Go for Light!

Image
LightWord: “The entrance (opening) of Your words gives light...” Psalm 119:130 The word of God is the LiGHT ( 1John1:1-4 ). And there is something spectacular about the Word of God. David says God has magnified His word above all His name. God’s word is a lamp unto our feet, and a light unto our path ( Psalm 119:105 ). Among other things, light determines your directions, discovers danger and dispel darkness ; and I think that’s very important in the journey of life. The word of God is a light to navigate through the dark world. The spiritual condition of the world is darkness ( Isaiah 60:1-2 ). A stranger in a particular place and has no direction, will definitely get lost. As a stranger on earth, we need the light to direct and lead us through. Search the Word – for clear direction to your destination. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for Your Word that stand as the light of men. As I search Your Word daily, let the light of Your Word illuminate my life. No more darkness in ...

Words Create Worlds!

Image
LightWord: “By faith, we see the world called into existence by God's word, what we see created by what we don't see.”   Hebrew 11:3 MSG Word create worlds. This simple truth is ageless and constant; either you are conscious of it or not, it is true. The same thing is found in Proverbs 18:21 (NIV) The tongue has the power of life and death. Every thing God can do is contained in His Word. So also everything you will ever become is contained in your words . What makes it so much powerful is when your words are now rooted in the Word of God. It can never fail. God's word is far differ from every other words of man, it is so sure to create the exact thing you say. Numbers 23:19 Say this to yourself: Thank You Father, for Your Word in my words is enough for me to create my world. Therefore by Your Word I declare I am Light, I am a Success, I am Great, I am a Victor and never a victim in Jesus' name. Amen!
