LIGHT WORD

LightWord: “Observe people who are good at their work— skilled workers are always in demand and admired; they don’t take a backseat to anyone.” Proverbs 22:29 MSG The good news is when you sow the seed of the harvest of blessing you want God to bless you with, you will reap far beyond what you sow ( Luke 6:38 ). The last point for this series in maximizing this year is to,  Develop yourself in Character and Capacity . It's funny when people say they are waiting for any opportunity to succeed, but the truth is, such people just keep waiting. This year, don't be like them. Develop yourself first, and you'll see that opportunity is all around you. Say this yourself: Father give me grace in discipling myself to develop myself for the greatness You've prepared for me this year in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing.” Genesis 12:2 This was God speaking to our father of faith Abraham on a journey of a new chapter of his life, the primary purpose for which he will be blessed is so that he might be a blessing. This is a new year, a new chapter which can productively produce a new you if you will abide by the rule. This year, look for every avenue to be a blessing to God's kingdom (Matt.6:33), your pastor (Matt.10:40-42), your family (Eph.6:1-4), people around you (Gal.6:9-10), less privileges (Matt.25:37-40) , this is also one of the secret of Job's blessing (Job 29:1-4, 11-16). Remember, it's more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35. Say this to yourself: By the enabling grace of Christ I am a blessing to my world. I am a source of blessing, joy, and happiness to many people this year and so I'm full with the blessing of the Lord in Jesus' nam...

LightWord: “And David perceived that the Lord had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.” 1 Chronicles 14:2 We were told from the Scripture above the reason God lifted up on high the kingdom of David, it was simply because of God's people. The same goes for his son Solomon ( 1 Kings 3:6-14 ). Here is the key, when God sees your heart truly that you ain't self-centered, that your desire is to be a blessing to people around you, regardless of the little or much you have. Then, you don't have to beg God to bless you, He will just keep blessing you. This year be driven in becoming a blessing to people. Say this to yourself: Father, help me not to be self-centered this year but to always be mindful of others, being a blessing to my world that Your name may be glorified through me in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Great blessings belong to those who show mercy to others. Mercy will be given to them.” Matthew 5:7 ERV Here is another vital point you need to assimilate and practice often in making the most of this new year, in order to be fulfilled in a new year like this, is to BE A BLESSING. Instead of expecting to be helped and favored by men, going from one person to another people, this year, turn the table around, you do it to others as you have the capacity and see how God himself will turn everything around for you. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for endowing me with too much grace to be a blessing everywhere at every level in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “If you, then, being evil [that is, sinful by nature], know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask and continue to ask Him!” Luke 11:13 AMP My advice for you on this point is that, don't struggle to do things on your own this year, never be moved by what you are seeing around but just by what the Spirit is revealing to you. If He shows you just one goal for the whole year, don't add your own to it, let it be just like that. Do you really want to be fulfilled in this year 2025?, then, let the Holy Spirit guide you through, you just follow. Say this to yourself: Spirit of the living God, show me the way to go, lead me the right path, guide and instruct me and I'm ready to follow by the grace of God in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 Someone once said, another meaning of insanity is to keep doing the same thing same way and expect a different outcome. It can't just work! If you will agree with me, one of the major things that causes frustration and sometimes leads to depression at the end of the year is, when most of our goals or resolutions written at the beginning of the year never get accomplished. Simply because they were written out of ambition and without the Holy Spirit direction. Don't give room for that again this year, no need to rush, just patiently wait for the leading of the Holy Spirit. Say this to yourself: Father, I wait for Your Spirit, to reveal to me the way to my fulfillment this year. I refuse to do things again my way. My inner ears are open to Your instructions, and just as You lead me, I will follow in Jesus...

LightWord: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14 Another thing that needed understanding in making sure this year is a fulfilled year is that, don't ever write any goal or aim for the year except it's been led or inspired by God . Many people should by now have learnt a lot from their past years but yet we tend to do the same thing over and over and expect different results. Don't be surprised, the year might just be as the previous if you will do it again your own way. Say this to yourself: Father help me not to do my will but just as You planned for my life this year for Your glory in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy]...” 1 Corinthians 10:13 AMP Whatsoever the Lord has declared this year to be unto you, here is the good news, He is faithful to make it so. If He has said this is your year of SHALOM , He is faithful to His Word. His faithfulness should provoke you to praise Him in advance knowing fully well that whatsoever He says, yes He has done it. Even in the temptations you might face this year, Scripture says He is still faithful to His Word . Praise Him in advance! Say this to yourself: To the One who is ever faithful and reliable, I praise and give You thanks in advance for this glorious year You've made for me in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!”” 2 Chronicles 20:21 NLT You know what, the year might be new to you but amazingly, it's not to God. That's why He is called the Alpha and Omega. He already knows every detail of the year, He sees all that will happen till December 31st. And in order to be fulfilled in the year, I think it is wise to partner with Him. One of the ways of doing that is praising Him in advance. Praise Him for the victory of each month, thank Him for the provision and protection of each day. Say this to yourself: Lord, I just want to praise and thank You for the wonderful things You have well planned out for me this very year. Glory be to Your Holy Name in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 NIV The second of some of the nuggets said to be shared with you in this series in making the most of the year 2025 as we are in the race already, is to Praise God and give thanks to Him in advance for each and every month of the year. When you thank God in advance for all the single days, weeks, and the twelve (12) months of this new year, then you have committed God to make it a reality of everyday thanksfulness for you. He will make sure you end each day with thanksgiving. Say this to yourself: Father, with a sincere heart I open up my mouth to say thank You for every single seconds, minutes and hours in this year in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “The seventh time around, when the priests sounded the trumpet blast, Joshua commanded the army, “Shout! For the Lord has given you the city!” Joshua 6:16 NIV In focus of this year, after thanking and appreciating God deeply and sincerely for all His doings in your life in the previous years, the number second thing you need to do is to now "thank God in advance for this year." What this simply means is that, you're already securing the new year in a good deal with God. Praise Him and give thanks in advance for each and every month of the year 2025. This will also give you an advantage over the year causing you to triumph on every side. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, I lift up my heart, my hands and my voice in praise of Your Holy Name, thanking You in advance for the year 2025. Accept my praise and thanksgiving in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.” Psalm 77:11 This is one of the secrets of David, a blessed man. He will never forget all that the Lord has done for him ( Psl.103:1-2 ), regardless of how the year looks to him, he will still be wise enough to keep records of God's wonders in his life and give glory to God. That's why God keeps blessing him. Record keepers are thanks givers, and thanks givers are blessings receivers. Never think it doesn't really matter to God, dear, it does! (Luke 17:15-18). Say this to yourself: For all You've done for me and for who You are to me all my life, with a grateful heart, I bow down and say aloud to You alone be all the glory in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “I will remember the works of the Lord: surely I will remember thy wonders of old.”  Psalm 77:11 I prophecy into your life, as you have seen the first day of this year, you will likewise see December 31st of it by the special grace and mercy of God. And for this year not to be like every other years in the past, That is, to be better, more meaningful, fruitful and productive, then, first thing you need to do is to "Deeply, Sincerely Appreciate and Thank God Almighty for the previous years of your life." (Psl.77:11, Heb.13:8, 15, Psl.124, Jer.13:16) Say this to yourself: Father from the bottom of my heart I just want to say thank You Jehovah. Thank You Lord for the previous years of my life. If not for You Lord. Thank You Jesus!!!

LightWord: “‘Sir, let it alone THIS YEAR also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”” Luke 13:8‭-‬9 NKJV I want you to know that, this is from gathered and proved experiences of people including myself in this issue of this year. If you put this into focus and work by it, then you will experience a new, fresh you at every new year. There are things you need and must know at every start of the year and in preparation of the new year for you to be truthfully fruitful, riding on eagle's wings even in the storms that might come in that year. I will share some with you. Say this to yourself : Father, I cry out for the revelational knowledge of Your Word. Let me find light in Your glorious Light to experience a new life in this year in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “‘Sir, let it alone THIS YEAR also, until I dig around it and fertilize it. And if it bears fruit, well. But if not, after that you can cut it down.’ ”” Luke 13:8‭-‬9 NKJV This year is a very common and popular saying of people, especially when the year is still fresh. I will do this, and that this year, I will become this and that this year. Is this good? Yes, it's fine! The only thing is that statistics has shown that many people don't realize thirty to fifty percent (30/50%) of their aims or goals of the new year. Say this to yourself: Father, I thank You for Your faithfulness in my life all through last year. Despite that You are not yet done with me, but indeed, I know You are so good to me in Jesus' name. Amen!

And I see God's mercy speaking loudly on your behalf all through this 2025 in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: VERSE OF THE DAY! “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.” Psalm 16:11 I see you enjoying God's presence all through this year, by the grace and the mercy of God, you will never find yourself where God's presence is not. And you shall have the fullness of every good thing  in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: VERSE OF THE DAY! “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 I see God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost backing you up and accompanying you through this new year in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: LET'S GIVE THANKS! (PSALM 92:1-2) Say this out loud: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I just want to say a big thank You once again ahead of 2025, for your great love, mercy, protection, provision and all your goodness in my life and my family all through this year of SHALOM, I will never be ungrateful to you Lord. Receive my praise today, tomorrow and forever in Jesus' name. Amen!
