SEASON OF REST! Part 8

 LightWord:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me.” Matthew 11:28-29


What was Jesus saying according to our focal Scripture? When He says we should take His yoke upon ourselves; we all know what yoke means. Yet, He's saying we have just two choices, either we take His own yoke upon ourselves or we settled with the yoke of our enemies on our necks.


Why yoke? Because what Jesus might ask you to do might not be equal to the calculation of your own human understanding, sometimes, it might look foolish. Yet it's light, even more lighter than the yoke that the enemies will put on you. That kind of yoke, is for slavery, oppression, and destruction. Galatians 5:1


Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, I made up my mind to take Your yoke upon myself, to agree with whatsoever You teaches and directs me from today onward. So help me God in Jesus'  name. Amen!

LightWord: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 Walking as children of light, in other words, you must use the authority you have as light to dominate over darkness. ( Eph.5:8 ). Remember, our focal Scripture says the power of the light you carry has to shine brighter. And the truth is, the light won't shine on its own, you have to let it shine by taking responsibility to aris e to every situations and challenges you may be facing. The good news is, no darkness can withstand your light only if you will let it shine by applying it to your paths. ( Isa.60:1 ) Say this to yourself: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for the power of Your Light that I carry. I will arise, shine and dispel every darkness around me and in my world in Your name for ever in Jesus' name. Amen!

CHANGE IS POSSIBLE!

LightWord: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 As it is popularly said “change is constant” which simply means there is nothing that cannot change. But until a man is changed, he cannot be changed and only a changed man can change the world . Everybody wants a change but to change is the difficulty. Now, except if a man has a strong desire to change, he won't change. It is said in physics that everything remains in a stagnant position until a force is being applied. There are required principles to follow in order to enforce the desired change. Yet change is possible! Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because with You my change is possible in Jesus' name. Amen!

CHANGE IS POSSIBLE! Part 4

LightWord: “If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14 By redemption we have been ordained by God to be the light of the world, illuminating everywhere and changing the world for better Matt.5:14-16. But just as it is written in Part 1 of this series that only a changed person can change the world. You cannot be the light when you yourself is stumbling in darkness . Just as the case of Esau, where his mother hated him, his brother cheated on him by trick, his father cursed him (Gen.27) , just as if the whole world has turned upside down for him, yet he desired a change and he experienced a great turnaround. Likewise the man called Job; everybody saw an end for him in his tribulations but he kept on seeing a change with strong desire ( Job 14:14 ) and at last he was blessed beyond measure. See Job 42:12-17 . Say this to yourself: Lord, no matter what people think or say about me, no matter what they see around me
