THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 23

Image
LightWord: “Whereas thou hast been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.” Isaiah 60:15 From the Scripture above we understand that God’s grace can rewrite the story of a life that has known rejection or disappointment. Maybe you have been neglected, rejected and dejected, here is good news for you; what others couldn’t make of your life, grace can transform into a testimony. Grace is a maker, that makes Apostle Paul who he was. Also, making me too. Grace can and will make you. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of Your sufficient grace. Let that same grace lift me, far beyond my imagination, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 22

LightWord: “The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.” Isaiah 60:14 One mark of grace is its power to honor a life . When grace is at work, those who once ignored you, including your frienemies, that is, enemies that appear as friends may recognize God’s hand on you. Not only that, they will end up as being your slaves. Yes! Our focal Scripture of today paints a picture of restoration and honor that God brings when grace is at work. Say this to yourself: Thank You, Lord, for Your grace that found me. Continue to transform my life by Your grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 21

LightWord: “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10 In our focal Scripture of today, Paul said by the grace of God, I am everything I am. So, grace is what lifted Paul up. Now, let me make this declaration into your life today that whatever area you have been looked down on, the same grace that lifted Paul will lift you. As you understand and embrace that grace, confidence in God begins to grow, (read Philippians 4:13) . Praise God continually for His grace, that's one of the major keys to your unlimited breakthrough in life. Say this to yourself: Father, I thank You for the abundance of Your grace. By Your grace, I am lifted and blessed, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 20

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 Grace turns weakness into strength,  turns disability to ability. Apostle Paul came late, but he became the greatest. So, no matter who you are today, your position, background, or current circumstances don’t get the last word. In my weakness, I am made perfect. Do you know Peter was the rock but Paul came as the block in which the church was built. Paul the apostle thereby makes a public declaration in 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 about his life and his encounter with Grace. Say this to yourself: Father, I believe in the transforming power of Your grace. From today, let Your grace distinguish me in Jesus’ name, Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 19

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 When Jesus taught the disciples to pray, Paul wasn’t there. Others walked with Christ face to face, while Paul was—elsewhere persecuting the church. But when grace stepped in, his past no longer defined his future. Not because those experiences were unimportant, but because God’s grace is sufficient. We still pray, fast, and practice spiritual disciplines, but grace empowers and gives them life. Say this to yourself: Father, I thank You for Your all-sufficient grace. Let Your grace speak on my behalf and accomplish what I cannot. Every barrier standing against Your purpose for my life, give way by Your grace in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING - Part 18

Image
LightWord: “For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle... But by the grace of God I am what I am.” 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 The truth is, people often notice your exploits more than the experience. And every real exploit in life is made possible by God ( Daniel 11:32b ). The Apostle Paul didn’t start first, he was the least, others were probably older and matured spiritually than him, yet God’s grace set him apart and enabled his impact. Say this to yourself: Father in heaven, let Your sufficient grace swallow up every form of insufficiency in my life. By Your grace, lift me into the fullness of Your purpose in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 17

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a God’s grace is sufficient. It sustained Paul, not his own abilities. When God is with you, His grace empowers you to accomplish what your strength cannot. From one step to another, God’s grace speaks for you. I'm a living testimony to that. My days has been full of gracexperience. I may not have the experience but grace has always been speaking for me anytime everywhere and still so. Say this to yourself: Thank You God, the Father of all grace. Henceforth, let Your sufficient grace begin to speak for me too and speak in my life everywhere around in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 16

Image
LightWord: “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9a Starting this series is for the purpose of digging deep to know what can be sufficient for man in the race of life. Now, if we are to talk about that one thing from God’s Word that will be sufficient according to the Word of God, it is therefore the Grace of God. Grace is the only thing that will ever be sufficient for a man (either male or female). God said to Paul the Apostle, My grace is sufficient for you. No wonder, Paul became the legend, the greatest Apostle of his time, he was outstanding among His fellow Apostles; because something was sufficient for him - THE GRACE OF GOD! Say this to yourself: Lord, thank You for Your all-sufficient grace. Let Your grace be sufficient for me and my household from now on in Jesus name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 15

Image
LightWord: “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith;” 2 Corinthians 13:5 Faith isn’t a one-time thing . It grows as we face new challenges. You must know that new level, new devil. So, we must keep checking ourselves, staying firm. No wonder, Paul declares in our focal Scripture of today, that we should examine ourselves if we are still in the faith: that is, checking day by day. Say this to yourself:  Father, fill me continuously with the spirit of faith. Help me to remain steadfast in You and live a life of victory every day in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 14

Image
LightWord: “We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly.” 2 Thessalonians 1:3a NKJV It’s true that everyone will face challenges. Even Jesus faced opposition. That’s why He said in John 16:33 that as long as we are in this world, we will have tribulation. But 1 John 5:4 shows the key to victory is our faith. Without faith, there is no victory . Like the believers in Thessalonica, our faith should keep growing. Say this to yourself:  Father, thank You for Your Word that builds my faith. I pray my faith will never fail. Let it grow stronger every day and give me victory by faith all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 13

Image
LightWord: “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh” 2 Corinthians 10:3 The justified are called to live by faith, and by faith only. Read Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38 . Living by faith means, depending on God continually to live a victorious life. See, no matter your title—Apostle, Bishop, Reverend, Pastor, Senior or Junior Evangelist, Servant of God or anything else—everyone faces challenges, everyday challenges. So, if you don't want life's troubles to overwhelm you, a faith lifestyle is a must. Say this to yourself: Jesus, every trace of unbelief in my life, especially toward Your Word, that might cause me to be cheaply defeated. By Your mercy, turn it around into strong faith for me, in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 12

Image
LightWord: “Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].” Mark 11:22 AMP Paying your tithe isn't just a desire, it's an act of obedience that reflects faith. Faith is a need! As believers, we're called to live by faith. The Scriptures point out four (4) different places both in the Old and New Testaments that the just shall live by our faith. The righteous have no other lifestyle. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the little faith I have now. I thank You for You will increase my faith in You. I do believe, help me believe more, in Jesus' Name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 11

Image
LightWord: “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5 Faith is an essential need in a believer's life . Do you know the difference between a want and a need? A want is something you desire, but a need is something essential for your life and purpose. For example, you might say, 'I want to buy a car', or, 'I want to give to God a thousand times offering', or, 'I want to bless my Pastor.' Those are desires. That is a want. But a need is what makes you function. A car doesn't want gasoline, it needs gasoline to function. Say this to yourself: Father, from today, by the power of Your Word, let my faith become active day by day to function fully the way You want me to function in life, in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 10

Image
LightWord: “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5 God performed extraordinary miracles through Paul—and a key to his power was frequent prayer and fasting ( 2 Corinthians 11:27 ). God once spoke to me: to be a truly powerful person, you must be a prayerful person. One-time efforts are never enough. If you want to see the supernatural, keep praying and fasting often ( Psalm 63:1-2 ). Next, we will explore faith—can it be the ultimate sufficiency? Say this to yourself : Thank You, Father, for Your liberating Word. I am free, empowered, and I walk in the supernatural, in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 9

Image
LightWord: “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21 In this series, 'The Only Sufficient Thing,' we have explored three vital aspects from Scripture: the constant need for the Holy Spirit, the Power of God, and Prayer. Today, we focus on prayer and fasting. While prayer must be a consistent lifestyle, adding fasting amplifies its sufficiency. Jesus declares in Matthew 17:21 that to see the miraculous, we must be devoted to both prayer and fasting. Say this to yourself: Father in heaven, thank You for revealing the mystery of Your Word. Grant me grace to enter the realms of the supernatural through prayer and fasting, in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 8

Image
LightWord: “Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Even our Master, Jesus, lived a life of constant prayer. As believers, we can never be satisfied with a single day or even a month of prayer; we must pray consistently . As seven days without prayer make one WEAK; a month without prayer MOUNT UP PROBLEMS; a year without prayer TEARS ONE DOWN. Paul the Apostle urged us to pray without ceasing—a prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian. Say this to yourself: Holy Spirit, I need Your help in prayer. Give me strength to pray consistently and the grace to tarry long in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 7

Image
LightWord: “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18:1 Prayer is winning, just as breathing is living; it is that vital. In Jesus' parable from the above Scripture, constant prayer is faith that guarantees victory (read Luke 18:1-8). Jesus Himself was a man of constant prayer; the song: prayer is the key, prayer is the master; Jesus started with prayer, ended with prayer. It was not just a song—it was His lifestyle. Say this to yourself: Father, I need the Spirit of prayer. By Your mercy, let it rest on me, so I will never be defeated by any means in life in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 6

Image
LightWord: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...” Acts 1:8 The more we are filled with the Holy Spirit, the more we are empowered, and the more authority we have for consistent dominion. God’s power is never sufficient—it grows in dimensions. New empowerment, new engagement. Like the disciples, we must continually seek fresh empowerment, for a powerless Christian is easy prey. Say this to yourself: Father, fill me afresh with the Holy Spirit, for the journey is too great in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING - Part 5

Image
LightWord: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 Jesus told His disciples they would receive power when the Holy Spirit came upon them. You might think they already had enough power. Jesus empowered them before, in Matthew 10:1, Luke 9:1, and Luke 10:19. But Jesus knew it was a law of constant supply— power must be continually received. Say this to yourself: Thank You, Father, for empowering me daily. I ask for a greater measure of Your power in this new season in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 4

Image
LightWord: “But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.” 1 Samuel 16:14 If we assume the Holy Spirit is sufficient once and for all, then we wouldn't need to be filled and guided continually, as Scripture instructs. In fact, when we stop seeking the Spirit’s constant filling, an evil influence can subtly replace Him. Jesus kept filling His disciples, and after His ascension, they continually asked for fresh empowerment by His Spirit. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, let not Your Spirit depart from me. Fill me always, as I surrender to His leading now and forever in Jesus’ name. Amen!

THE ONLY SUFFICIENT THING! Part 3

Image
LightWord: “Do not get drunk with wine, for that is wickedness (corruption, stupidity), but be filled with the [Holy] Spirit and constantly guided by Him.” EPHESIANS 5:18 AMP What is the sufficient thing? Is it the Holy Spirit, power, prayer, fasting, faith? By the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, we will grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and transform our world. Is the Spirit sufficient once received at conversion? The Holy Spirit is the believer’s greatest need—without Him, we are empty . Yet, it is not a one-time event. Say this to yourself: Thank You, Lord, for the mystery of Your Word. Give me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation today, in the knowledge of God in Jesus' name. Amen!
