How to Pray! Part 4

LightWord:

“when you pray, pray to your Father in private…” Matthew 6:6


If God already knows what we need, then prayer isn’t simply about the words we say. If we’re praying to impress people, or if we’re treating prayer like a box to check, then we’re missing out on the power of prayer.


Prayer is, and always will be, a dynamic conversation with our Father (God). When we realize this, the Lord’s Prayer becomes a freeing framework that helps us talk to God every day.


Say this to yourself: My Father in heaven, I bless You for helping me realize through Your Son Jesus Christ, how close I can be to You through prayer in Jesus' name. Amen!

It's Great To Serve God! Part 9

LightWord: “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him.” Psalm 89:20 You can be a layman and still be a bonafide servant of the most high God. It is not necessary you wait till you are ordained as a pastor or an evangelist, or as of any title before you can serve God or before your services to Him can be acceptable. A confirmed original servant of God simply means anyone engaged in serving God. Do you know Job wasn't a pastor neither a prophet? Yet, God was proud and bold of him. God said to the devil have you noticed Job my servant Job 1:8 , David was just a king but he served God and became God's favorite. ( See Ps. 89:20-38 ). With God, ordination doesn't come before service but vice-versa. Just serve God as you are, everywhere you can and become God's favorite. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because as I'm serving You, I'm confirmed Your favorite from today and I'm favored in all my ways in Jesus' name. Amen!
