How to Pray! Part 5

LightWord:

“Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name …” Matthew 6:9


Here’s a six (6) step guide to prayer that can help: first, Refocus on God. “Our Father in heaven, holy is Your Name …” Inhale deeply and focus on these words: “Our Father in heaven.” Slowly exhale as you say: “Holy is Your name.”


Repeat this several times, by so doing, you are in awe, worshiping, and adoring God, then, pay attention to any aspects of God’s character that come to mind. Spend this time focusing on how great God is.


Say this to yourself: My Father and my God, I worship Your holy name, how great You are in Jesus' name. Amen!

It's Great To Serve God! Part 9

LightWord: “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him.” Psalm 89:20 You can be a layman and still be a bonafide servant of the most high God. It is not necessary you wait till you are ordained as a pastor or an evangelist, or as of any title before you can serve God or before your services to Him can be acceptable. A confirmed original servant of God simply means anyone engaged in serving God. Do you know Job wasn't a pastor neither a prophet? Yet, God was proud and bold of him. God said to the devil have you noticed Job my servant Job 1:8 , David was just a king but he served God and became God's favorite. ( See Ps. 89:20-38 ). With God, ordination doesn't come before service but vice-versa. Just serve God as you are, everywhere you can and become God's favorite. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because as I'm serving You, I'm confirmed Your favorite from today and I'm favored in all my ways in Jesus' name. Amen!
