IS GOD FIRST? Part 12

LightWord:

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus 20:3


In putting God first, like I said the last time, it exposes what is controlling you. This part is uncomfortable but powerful. When you truly and genuinely put God first, hidden idols begin to surface.


And idol is anything that takes God's place in your heart. For some people, it's money; for others, it's relationships; and majorly for others, it's social media, success, lust, pride, or even approval from people.


Say this to yourself: Father, I surrender every idol that has been controlling me under Your control from now on. I am no longer a slave to anything and everything that takes Your place in my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matthew 23:11 Scripture says in Mark 10vs45 “for even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve...” Serve who? To serve others. So, to be like Jesus is to put on a servanthood garment and serving others. The word of God makes it clear that Jesus didn't come from heaven to the earth in order to be ordained as the Chieftainship of Nazareth, no! but to be a servant, giving his life as a ransom for many. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for this knowledge coming across my way. Please give me the understanding of Your Word so as to walk in the reality of this greatness in Jesus' name. Amen!
