LIGHT WORD

LightWord: “We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly.”  2 Thessalonians 1:3a NKJV It's true that everyone will face series of challenges. Remember, Jesus himself faced his own, thereby He said in John 16:33 that as long as you are in the world - excluding no nations of the earth - you are bound to have tribulation. But 1John 5:4 gives the key to victory which is our faith. Which means without faith, there is no victory. Faith can never be once and for all. You keep growing your faith even exceedingly because as you overcome some challenges, another ones are set already. New level, new devil. So we must constantly live by faith. In fact, Paul says in 2 Corinthians 13:5 that we should examine ourselves if we are still in the faith: that is, checking day by day if our faith is still intact. Say this to yourself:  Father, thank You for Your Word that generates faith. I pray that my faith will not fail me all the day...

LightWord: “Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].” Mark 11:22 AMP The justified has no choice but to live by faith. We have been programmed to live that way and that way only. (Read Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17, Galatians 3:11, Hebrews 10:38). Living by faith means, it is what we will depend on for the rest of our lives, to continaully live a victorious life! See, no matter the level of your Apostleship, Lord Bishop, Reverend, Pastor, Senior or Junior evangelist, greatest servant of God and whatsoever or whosoever you are, everyone will have to face his/her own challenges, everyday challenges (2 Corinthians 10:3). So, if you don't want challenges of life to bring you down then faith lifestyle is a must! Say this to yourself: Jesus, every trace of unbelief in my life especially to God's Word that may make me to be cheaply defeated in life, today by Your mercy turns it around into a strong faith for me in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5 Here is the difference between want and need. For instance, you can say I want to buy a car, I want to give to God a thousand times offering, I want to bless my Pastor - yea, that's a desire, that's want! But a need is quite different from a desire. A need is what makes you to function. A car does not want gasoline, it needs gasoline to function. You don't desire to give God your tithe, it's a need for you to pay your tithe. A need helps you to be what you are accurately designed to be. Faith is a need! As a Believer, the Word of God says FAITH is a need for living. The scripture points out in four (4) different places both in the Old and New Testaments that we, the justified shall live by faith. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for the little faith I have now. I thank You for You will increase my faith in You. I do believe, help me to believe more in Jesus' Name. Amen!

  LightWord: “And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5 God wrought special miracles through Paul. But one of the secret is that Apostle Paul prayed often, he fast often 2Corinthians 11:27. God once said to me, to become a power-full man, you need to be prayer-full. Once is never enough: as long as you want super to your natural, you need to pray and fast often. (Psalm 63:1-2). Now, you might say maybe I probably want to talk about FAITH. Yes, faith is an essential need in a believers' life. And I hope you know the difference between want and need? Want can be term to what you desire but a need is quite different from a desire. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for the truth of Your Word that makes free. From today, by the reason of Your Word let my faith be active day by day to function fully the way You wants me to function in life in Jesus' Name. Amen!

  LightWord: “Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21 From the beginning of this series 'The Only Sufficient Thing' we were able to cross check on three different things from the Scripture that are so vital yet not sufficient, not once. Like the constant need of the Holy Spirit, the Power of God, and Prayer. Today let's move on to Prayer and Fasting. Probably if prayer is to be on a consistent basis, maybe when fasting is added to it (once or occasionally) then it will be so sufficient. But Jesus says in Matthew17:21, to continually experience the miraculous in your life, you need to be a person yielded to consitent prayer and fasting. Say this to yourself: Father of heaven, thank You for the mystery of Your Word that is been revealed. I ask oh Lord for the required grace to engage myself into the realm of the supernatural by praying and fasting often in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.” Luke 18:1 Praying is winning; just as breathing is living. That's how vital prayer is. According to Jesus' parable here, He regards constant prayer as faith that guarantees undeniable victory (read Luke 18:1-8). Jesus himself was a man of constant prayer in His days here on earth. This shows that we as believers can never be satisfied with a day prayer, not even a month nor a year prayer in our journey in life. It is necessary for us to pray and pray consistently; as 7 days without prayer makes one weak! Paul the Apostle said we should be praying without ceasing. (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Say this to yourself: Father, I need the Spirit of prayer and supplication, by Your mercy let it rest upon my life always for me not to be defeated by any means in Jesus' name Amen!   LightWord: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 In our focal Scripture of today Jesus told His disciples when they shall receive power. Power? I don't think the disciples need anymore power; don't you think so? Why? Because Jesus already empowered them, not even once. In Matthew 10:1 Jesus gave them power, Luke 9:1 He ranked the power, in Luke 10:19 He gave them another level of power again. But Jesus, speaking to His disciples knows that it is the law of constant supply for constant demand: the more you are being filled with the Holy Spirit the more you will be empowered, and the more authority is conferred on you for consistent dominion. So, the power of God is never sufficient for a believer: new empowerment, new engagement. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for empowering me day by day by You...
