LIGHT WORD

LightWord: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.” John 1:12 Scripture here is talking about Jesus, which is the Word of God. In verse 1 of the same chapter we could understand clearly that Jesus is referred to be the Word; And as many as received the Word, to them he empowered to become what the Word says. Nothing good can be dine of anyone until he/she is empowered. Say this to yourself: Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, I need to be empowered, give me full understanding on how to be empowered by Your Word in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God. ” John 1:12 Is it not funny today, that many claimed to be sons of God, even the unbelievers. But of a truth, who are the real sons of God? The Scripture above revealed to us what it takes to become the real son of God. The word 'Power' in the Scripture is 'exousia' in Greek word which means capacity, delegated, authority, eligibility, potentate. This power can only be given to us after we have received Him. Who? Jesus , the living Word! Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for Your son Jesus Christ that through Him I might become the son of God in Jesus'name. Amen!

LightWord: “...singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.” Ephesians 5:19 Serve the Lord with joyfulness and gladness of heart and Satan will have no access to you. Satan is out to move you against God. Keep him off with joy - singing and making melody just like the Scripture above says. Organise for joy and happiness. Programme for it. Fill your house with music. Live in constant gratitude and thankfulness to God. To take God for granted is to be grounded! Let your heart dwell in a ceaseless flow of thanksgiving and appreciation unto God. To be "praise-full" is to be "win-full". Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus because this joy that I have now, no devil can take it away from me for life in Jesus' name. Amen!

  LightWord: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4 Joy is the only way to ventilate your spirit. James 5:13 says if you’re merry, sing . When you’re depressed you have no contact with God’s presence. A ‘praisefull’ life is what is required to carry God’s presence. Without joy, you have no access to the deep things of God ( Isaiah 12:3 ). And without that, there’s no faith and without faith, there is no victory ( 1 John 5:4 ). Joy makes your day! Say this to yourself : Father, thank You because I receive joy that will keep my spirit alive and know the deep things of God that will stir up my faith and leads to my everyday victory in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4 Joy is one of the major secret of our superiority over Satan. Do you know, depression makes victims of men, but joy makes champions of men. Joy is a pace-setter in our Christian journey. The more of it you have, the more victories you enjoy over Satan. The only medicine for depression is joy! Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because I've got joy, joy, joy overflow all the days of my life, I reign over Satan and depression in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression.” Proverbs 17:22 TPT Depression is destructive even to your health, which Satan wants destroyed. The moment you subscribe to depression, the things that should be working start failing. Whereas sins are forgivable, but depression has to be treated, because it is a sin against oneself, not against God. So you have to deal with it before it deals with you! Say this to yourself: Father thank You for allowing me to discover what depression is and who is behind it, today by the fire of the Holy Ghost I destroy every devil that want me depressed in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines... Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Habakkuk 3:17-18 Depression retards your flight to your high places, as your joy is cut off ( Habakkuk 3:17-19) . Satan brings cares, worries and anxieties to keep you down. When the Word of God becomes meaningless to you and consequently unimportant, it is caused by depression. Move away from any depressed person! Because it is contagious. Say this to yourself: Father I pray by Your mercy that let there be a separation of fire between me and any form of depression in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Because thou servedst not the Lord thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies...” Deuteronomy 28:47-48 When you are depressed, your access to God’s presence is blocked ( Psalm 100:1-5 ). Depression disconnects you from the Father. Depression destroys your harvest.  If the devil can get you depressed any day, he has spoilt that your day for you. Depression brings a man under a curse ( Deuteronomy 28:47- 48 ). It is the worst enemy of your destiny. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because every trick of the devil to get me depressed by any means is destroyed totally today in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Rejoice evermore.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Depression chokes the brain! It robs the mind! ( Luke 8:14 ). It blinds the mind! (2 Corinthians 4:4 ). It is a very destructive weapon of the enemy. It must be fought! It is a destroyer! Depression makes victims of men. It enters into the mind to block it from the light of the glorious gospel. It chokes the Word and makes the mind unproductive. Say this to yourself: Father, thank You for from today I live above depression and oppression of the devil in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Rejoice evermore.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16 The great antagonist of joy is depression. You've got to beware of depression. The dictionary meaning of depression says it is a feeling of utter hopelessness. Feeling of despondency, self-disgust and loss of perspective! It is a mood swing into which a man is cast. And who is the author? - Satan, the enemy! Say this to yourself: Father, thank You because this joy that I have is given to me by heaven and no devil will be able to take it away from me in Jesus' name. Amen!

  LightWord: “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste..” Isaiah 28:16 Scripture says, God's plan for your future is well structured, you are His Masterpiece. But this is what will prove that you truly believe, that is when you don't worry but being patient with Him. Some are never patient about God, therefore, they get into the trap of worrying. Don't let it be you, be patient with God knowing fully well that God has your best interest at heart. Say this to yourself: Father, I surrender all to You having the assurance that You are still at work over any situations that comes my way. I choose to believe, I choose to be patient, never to worry in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste..” Isaiah 28:16 Pastor, you mean I can live a worry-free life? Absolutely right, provided you can wait approriately to God's timing and not being worrying about anything. Believe me, God has it all planned out for our good and not to hurt us. Mind you, you don't just wait passively. Because the more idle you become, the more worry you become. You wait believing, praying, praising and thanking God. Say this to yourself: Father thank You for the provision provided to live above the cares of this life, now, I have no more worries by the help of the Holy Spirit. Glory Hallelujah in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT The Scripture above says, do not worry about anything rather there are things to do; pray to the Father, believe in His power by thanking Him for the things you might want to be worrying about in the first place. By so doing, all the worries are already finding their way out of your life because you are already send them packing, then, joy will begin to fill in before you know it. Say this to yourself: Lord Jesus, thank You because now I know what to do, I will rather thank God for everything and be joyful instead of being fearful of anything in life again in Jesus' name. Amen!

  LightWord: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 The Word of God is pure and clear, for God is not an author of confusion. That's why Jesus provided the simple solution for us all, instead of worrying, do seek after one thing. Just one thing and then get everything and anything you may ever desire. What an offer! David Oyedepo said, that's the jackpot of life. To do one thing and get everything else. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because according to Your living Word, I disallow worry in my mind instead I keep seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 Worrying has never solved anything in life. Come to think of it, even if you're worried, what solution will that provide?, the end can even be worse. Jesus says who among you by worrying can add just one cubit to his stature?. So why worry? Until you come to your wit end, and lay everything before God, you are not yet free from anxiety. Your freedom begins by realizing God is in control and nothing can get out of control. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father for the freedom I receive today from anxiety that will remain with me for ever. You are in control of my life and nothing can get out of control in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 The faithfulness of the Word of God will never leave us with what not to do without providing for us what to do instead. From the scripture in Matthew 6:25-33 Jesus says instead of you to worry; It is far better to let God fill your mind. He said but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Phycologists has discovered that eighty percent (80%) of what people fears doesn't happen. Say this to yourself: Thank You Jesus because I'll rather seek You First than to worry about anything in my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober...” 1 Peter 1:13 Jesus wasn't excluded from being tempted. The temptaions after His forty (40) days fasting wasn't the appearance of the devil as many would imagine; it was through His mind. Yet, Jesus was in control of His mind to reject such temptation. That's why Scripture says, gird up the loins of your mind. Your mind is such a crucial asset to a victorious life. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because I am filled with the knowledge of the Word of life (JESUS) to live a glorious and victorious life as planned out by God for me in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Therefore I tell you, stop being worried or anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted) about your life..., Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?” MATTHEW 6:25 AMP Wait a minute, Pastor, so if it is truly possible for me not to worry, then what do I do when worry is setting in me? Good question; one thing I'm sure of is worry has the power to access everyone's mind. Yet, it is everyone's responsibility to accept or reject it. If Jesus says it is possible then it is possible (read 1 Corinthians 2:16 ). Remember, Jesus has been in such situation before, so it's a true saying that you determine what to do with worry. Say this to yourself: Thank You Father because I have the mind of Christ. I reject every thought that is not of God in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: ““Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life... Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” Matthew 6:25 NIV Jesus is saying here to us not to worry about anything. If He says we shouldn't worry about anything, then He means He's able to take care of everything for us (read 1 Peter 5:7 ).  Note, anytime you worry about anything, you've simply doubt God's power on such thing. For instance, if you are anxious of returning home safely of any journey, it means you've doubt God's power and faithfulness for His protection over your life. Psalm 121:7-8 . Say this to yourself: Father I ask for Your forgiveness in every areas of my life that I have doubted Your power. You are more than able to take care of my life in Jesus' name. Amen!

LightWord: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” Philippians 4:6 NIV I was at the Bible Study sometimes where the question was raised, is it possible as human beings not to worry at all? Let's get the answer from our Lord Jesus Christ himself. In Matthew 6:25-31 He explained clearly on what human beings do worrying about, simply the cares of this life. I do say hilariously that I hardly seen anyone being anxious of getting to heaven, not even the preachers. Say this to yourself: Father have mercy on me and cleanse my heart from the cares of life that is choking my peace in Jesus' name. Amen!

THE GOD ALMIGHTY THAT HAS DONE POWERFUL THINGS IN TIME PAST, HE RAISED THE DEAD, HEALED THE SICK, DELIVERED THE OPPRESSED WILL DO GREAT THINGS IN YOUR OWN LIFE TOO THIS MONTH AND YOUR TESTIMONY SHALL BE SPREAD ABROAD BY THE MERCY OF GOD IN JESUS' NAME.
